Dr Lim Cheok Peng: Senior Chief Medical Advisor, Novena Global Healthcare Group
Dr Lim possesses more than 40 years of experience in the healthcare sector, both as a medical practitioner and in managing hospital businesses. He has practiced internal medicine and cardiology at Mt Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore since January 1985 and has been a physician at Gleneagles Hospital and Parkway East Hospital since January 1985 and June 1985, respectively.
Well-known in the Asia Healthcare Industry as one of the leading pioneer in the sector, Dr Lim currently serves as Chairman of TAEL Pantaleon Investments Pte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of TAEL Management Co Pte Ltd, as well as the Vice Chairman of Cotec Healthcare, a Vietnamese hospital group.
Previous to this, Dr Lim was Chairman of Ophir-Ventures Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Bhd, from 2015 to 2018; Dr Lim was also Chairman of ReGen Rehabilitation International Sdn Bhd from 2015 to 2018 and was the Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors, IHH Healthcare Berhad from 2014 to 2015. From 2011 to 2013, Dr Lim served as the Managing Director of IHH Healthcare Berhad – Asia’s largest private healthcare group.
From 2000 to 2010, Dr Lim served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Parkway Holdings Limited and from 1990 to 2000, he served as Executive Director of Parkway Group Healthcare Pte Ltd, now subsidiaries of IHH Healthcare Berhad.
Dr Lim was instrumental in Parkway’s and IHH Healthcare’s expansion of their healthcare businesses in the Asia Pacific region, as well as in the Middle East and Turkey. During his tenure at Parkway and IHH Healthcare from 1987, Dr Lim played a leading role in accelerating the Group’s growth in key markets and providing management with guidance on strategic matters. Dr Lim expanded the Group’s presence beyond Singapore, making significant inroads into China, Malaysia, India and the Middle East.
Dr Kenneth Thean: Senior Advisor (S.E Asia), Novena Global Healthcare Group
Dr Kenneth Thean has over 38 years’ experience in Healthcare. He is currently the Medical Director of Ensoul Medical Clinic in Singapore, one of the clinics of the Ensoul Group. He is also the Medical Advisor for the Pure Laser Clinic Group and the Puro Laser Clinics in Jakarta and Surabaya, Indonesia. Dr Thean’s clinics focus on using customized combinations of multiple lasers and other energy devices to provide anti-aging skin rejuvenation treatments. He is also the Medical Director of Ensoul Body Medical Clinic, a dedicated clinic that performs non-invasive body sculpting treatments. Dr Thean’s academic interests lie in Medical Lasers and other Aesthetic Energy Based Devices to treat the skin and body, and he is a regional and an international speaker in this field.
Dr Thean has held senior positions in Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital, Parkway Hospitals, Parkway Group Healthcare, Medirad, Parkway Shenton’s General Practice and Executive Health Screening Centers. He had been a member of the Medical Advisory Board of both Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital. While he was with Singapore’s Ministry of Health, he worked in the National Skin Centre, National University Hospital, Singapore General Hospital, Changi Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and Toa Payoh Hospital. He was the founder Administrator, and helped establish Singapore’s National Skin Centre in 1988.
Ms Fiona Lim: Director, Group Strategy for NOVU Aesthetics
Fiona Lim has more than 15 years of healthcare experience and resided in China for five years. Throughout her career, she has established good working relationships with medical specialists and corporate partners.
During her five years with Parkway Pantai, she started the Clinical Programme across Mount Elizabeth Orchard Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital and Parkway East Hospital. She worked closely with medical specialists under Parkway panels to increase hospital revenue and occupancy.
She moved on to lead marketing initiatives for the hospital, and was in charge of Mount Elizabeth Orchard’s overall marketing, and involved in the opening of Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. After which, she joined the International Team and was responsible for the exploration of new channel partnerships to grow the Malaysia market, managed the overseas representatives and agents, supported the Indonesia team and worked closely with International Patient Liaising Centre.
